Sr. Project Manager / Business Analyst (Consultant)

Location: Newport Beach, CA or New York, NY (Onsite, M-F, 8am-5pm)

Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Business Analyst to support two key initiatives within a large financial services organization:

1. Integration of a new AML/KYC managed service vendor
2. Ongoing enhancements to an Appian-based client onboarding workflow platform

This role is ideal for someone who excels at cross-functional coordination, process analysis, and translating business needs into actionable technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. AML/KYC Vendor Integration

• Serve as the liaison between Compliance, Operations, Technology, and the external vendor.
• Validate business and technical requirements, and identify process gaps.
• Support data mapping activities between internal systems and the vendor platform.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Track risks, issues, and timelines, ensuring proper documentation and escalation.

2. Appian Workflow Platform Enhancements

• Map and document onboarding workflows across business units.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions and stakeholder workshops.
• Partner with Appian developers to clarify business logic and confirm workflow accuracy.
• Support testing and quality assurance efforts.
• Assist with change management tasks, including training materials and user adoption.

Qualifications

• Strong background in project management and business analysis within financial services.
• Experience with AML/KYC processes or compliance-related projects.
• Familiarity with workflow automation platforms (Appian preferred).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across diverse teams.
